Distinctively, it was used to monitor<br>women\u2019s and girls\u2019 compliance with the mandatory hijab and acts of solidarity with the<br>protests. In April 2024, in Tehran and southern Iran, the State resorted to aerial drone<br>surveillance to monitor hijab compliance in public spaces.
