A one-day online conference was held on 1st July 2021 on 'Islamic Responses to COVID-19: Authority and Religiosity in #Muslim Communities & Digital Worlds.' The event explored ethical, media, digital and religious responses to the COVID-19 situation in diverse Islamic contexts. There was a lively programme, with opportunities for discussion with a wide range of international speakers. The focus was very much on shared experiences and perspectives across diverse international locations.
The event was organised by Prof. Gary R. Bunt at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
